COLORGUARD AUDITIONS 2020

Due to the “Shelter in Place” mandates, we will be holding virtual auditions this year. Please be sure to read the following instructions on the video audition process below! Videos are due by June 1^st. Audition results will be announced between June 8 and June 12. You will receive them via email. **Be sure you have also filled out the Marching Band Interest Form: https://roswellband.formstack.com/forms/roswellbandregistrationform

***Auditions are open to any student who will be enrolled at Roswell high School in the fall of 2020! Color Guard is more fun with friends, so contact a buddy and be sure they submit their audition too!!

Color Guard Audition Tips:

Learn the dance routine, step-by-step - take your time putting it all together correctly

1. You’ll have to watch the instructional video in small portions, several times - this is NORMAL and it’s what you should do! Take your time to learn it :)
Ask for help! We have veteran color guard members who are willing to help, and Esti can always answer any specific questions you have about the routine
Practice! Give yourself time to learn individual parts AND put them all together - this takes daily practice and review!
Record your video when you feel ready.

How to submit your video audition:

Please make sure to wear closed toed shoes, athletic clothing, and long hair must be pulled up and out of one’s face.
Try to record outside if possible, so you have plenty of space to do the full movements
Be sure you have good lighting
Do your best! Try to perform and SMILE!! :)
Review your whole video performance - we aren’t looking for perfection, just make sure it is a video you are happy about!
