Bonnie Wehr is originally from Marietta. She attended college at the University of West Georgia where she studied music education. Bonnie studied euphonium under Dr. Cale Self and conducting under Dr. John Bluel and Dr. Josh Byrd. While attending UWG she performed in the wind, symphonic, brass, and jazz ensembles. She was a part of the inaugural Tuba Euphonium Quartet in 2013. Bonnie was awarded the Wright Scholars award for her performance on euphonium in 2012 and 2013. She was also a member of The Sound That Lights The South marching band where she was section leader for 3 years. Bonnie received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education in December of 2014. She has worked with several local high school programs including Wheeler, Marietta, and Chattahoochee high schools. Bonnie currently resides in Alpharetta where she is the general music teacher at Manning Oaks elementary school.
