It takes a small village to help run the band. There are all kinds of jobs and one is sure to fit you.
All sign ups for volunteer spots are organized through Charms. Log in with the RoswellHSBand code and click on Volunteer to sign up. Check out the documents below for more details, because we can't do it without you.

Title | Description |
Pit Crew | 1 co-leader, 1 administrator and 6-8 people are needed for every home game, away game and competition to assist with moving equipment and instruments to the field and then moving the band into position for the halftime show. Pit Crew clears the field and returns the equipment to the band room after performances. |
Concessions |
10-12 volunteers needed at each home game for Grill team, cashier, and baked goods at the Visitor Concession Stand. Baked goods are delivered to the band room before the game begins and is a great opportunity for those who have difficulty volunteering during games. |
Chaperones |
6-8 people needed for Home and Away Games, Competitions/Festivals. Duties include monitoring stands during football games, providing first aid, placing plumes in hats on the field, and traveling on the bus to/from away games and events. Chaperones are also needed during band camp for snack assist and first aid needs. |
Charmer (2) |
Two ppl needed to collect checks from the RHS booster box, log into Excel and Charms, and deposit into the band's Suntrust account. Both ppl present at the same time. Only once a week and takes about an hour. |
Hospitality |
Greets and provides information to visiting bands at home events. Provides meals for staff on competition days. |
Football Game Meal Plan Helpers |
Organizes food for marching band members to pick up during the 3rd quarter of football games, then distributes. |
Photographers |
Games, practice, competitions, you name it, we want pictures of it to use on our social media and website. |
Uniforms |
1 Team Leader and 4-5 People are needed to inventory, fit students before band season, and distribute uniforms during games and competitions. People who can sew are needed to do
routine maintenance sewing occasionally on uniforms and flags. Work closely with Marching Band Uniform Captains to insure uniforms are organized, clean and ready for use.
Leader maintains uniform database within Charms using scanner and barcode. Concert season only needs measuring as those uniforms are owned by the students.

Beginning of season registration table sales, football games. This position works with the Uniform Team. |
Fundraising |
We have all kinds of ongoing needs to connect with local businesses and set up corporate donations. |
Band Banquet |
1 Leader and 10 team members. Organize the annual band banquet in May. |
To keep in compliance with State Law and with best practices, we require that all persons interested in volunteering in the Fulton County School District register or re-register (even if a person has completed an application in the past) by completing the new online volunteer registration/application process. Applicants should be prepared to spend about 10-15 minutes for the training and application process. In accordance with State Law, all volunteers must be current with the Child Abuse Reporting Protocol Training before being allowed to volunteer in our schools. It is very important that volunteers enter their full legal name as it appears on their government issued ID (please do not use nicknames or “goes by” names on the application). All applicants must wait 24 hours after applying for application processing and approval.
